Wat krijg je als je een extreme sportieve uitdaging combineert met de absolute wil om kinderkanker de wereld uit te helpen? Exact: UNIC27!
Wat is UNIC27?
Vanuit ons liefdadigheidsproject Ride4Change trekken we in 2027 alle registers open. Samen met een internationale community van eenwieleraars gaan we de ultieme fysieke en mentale test aan: we rijden 100 km én 150 km op één wiel. Ja, dat lees je goed. Tientallen uren balanceren, trappen en afzien, allemaal om een krachtig signaal af te geven.
Onze missie: Trappen voor KickCancer
Kinderen horen te spelen, de wereld te ontdekken en onbezorgd te leven. Helaas is dat voor kinderen met kanker niet de realiteit. Daarom gaat elke ingezamelde euro van deze internationale monsteruitdaging rechtstreeks naar KickCancer voor cruciaal onderzoek. Elke zweetdruppel en elke pijnlijke kilometer op ons zadel staat in het teken van deze strijd. Wij weigeren op te geven, net zoals de kinderen en hun families die elke dag opnieuw vechten.

We have a mission. A beautiful mission. We want to cure every child with cancer.
Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back!
We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies.
Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.
Your gift helps fund either a research project selected by KickCancer, in line with strict evaluation criteria, or our advocacy and awareness activities. Every new research project, policy milestone or patient empowerment initiative contributes to what truly matters: better treatments, more innovation and real hope for children, adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer.
Through FIGHT KIDS CANCER, a European initiative dedicated to paediatric oncology, we support innovative research projects. In Belgium, we work closely with the Belgian Society for Paediatric Haematology Oncology (BSPHO) to support the participation of Belgian paediatric oncology centres in international academic clinical trials.
Our advocacy and awareness activities are just as important. They aim to ensure that pharmaceutical companies are required or incentivised to invest more in research in paediatric cancer, that governments invest more in research infrastructure, and that other NGOs active in the cancer field play their part in advancing research in paediatric cancer.
