In april 2023 kreeg het kindje van mijn beste vriendin en de dappere grote zus van mijn metekindje Janne de diagnose van een hersentumor. Na een zwaar traject sloot ze in juli 2024 haar laatste therapie af. Vandaag mag ze weer naar school, maar het leven na kanker blijft een uitdaging.

Op 28 september loop ik mee in de Kick to Run 2025 in Brussel. Ik loop in de eerste plaats voor de allerdapperste Janne, maar daarnaast voor alle kinderen die strijden tegen kinderkanker. 💛

Meer onderzoek is nodig om behandelingen kindvriendelijker, gerichter en minder belastend te maken. Zo krijgen meer kinderen kans op herstel én een toekomst.
