Trots en ontroerd als papa van deze ongelooflijk dappere meid. Wat Mila heeft meegemaakt en nog steeds moet doorstaan, tart alle verbeelding. Ik ben diep dankbaar voor de kracht en moed waarmee ze dit moeilijke traject doorstaat.

Het is hartverscheurend dat iemand dit moet doormaken, zeker op zo'n jonge leeftijd. Gelukkig is er een behandeling voor haar ziekte, maar ik ben ervan overtuigd dat wetenschappelijk onderzoek kan helpen om het hele traject draaglijker te maken en de impact van bijwerkingen te beperken – nu en in de toekomst. Daarom ben ik enorm dankbaar dat er organisaties zoals KickCancer bestaan die hier aandacht voor vragen.
