Lou roule pour Kickcancer / Sport Challenges

Cet été, je me lance dans un tout autre voyage ! Un périple à vélo de plus de 1500 km en solitaire, entre Ottignies et le Périgord en France. Quatre semaines de route, de bivouacs, de rencontres… et une envie : donner du sens aux kilomètres que je vais parcourir.

C’est pourquoi j’ai décidé d’associer ce défi personnel à une cause qui me tient particulièrement à cœur : la lutte contre le cancer.

Je soutiens l’association KickCancer, qui finance des projets de recherche pour mieux comprendre et traiter les cancers pédiatriques, et donne ainsi aux enfants malades de réelles chances de guérison.

Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back!

We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies.

Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.

Your gift helps fund either a research project selected by KickCancer, in line with strict evaluation criteria, or our advocacy and awareness activities. Every new research project, policy milestone or patient empowerment initiative contributes to what truly matters: better treatments, more innovation and real hope for children, adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer.

Through FIGHT KIDS CANCER, a European initiative dedicated to paediatric oncology, we support innovative research projects. In Belgium, we work closely with the Belgian Society for Paediatric Haematology Oncology (BSPHO) to support the participation of Belgian paediatric oncology centres in international academic clinical trials.

Our advocacy and awareness activities are just as important. They aim to ensure that pharmaceutical companies are required or incentivised to invest more in research in paediatric cancer, that governments invest more in research infrastructure, and that other NGOs active in the cancer field play their part in advancing research in paediatric cancer.
