Axelle's mama - Samira / Axelle de dappere ridder

Ik ben Samira en mama van Axelle. Axelle vecht tegen kanker sinds 1 mei 2020.
Een angiosarcoma in een infantiel hemangioom. Het is niet alleen een rare naam, het is ook super zeldzaam.

Axelle is moedig, een spring-in-t-veld en laat zich door niets of niemand tegenhouden ondanks haar jeugdige leeftijd van 3,5 jaar.
Daarom vechten we samen. Axelle, haar papa Maarten en ik.
Kinderkanker de wereld uit kicken, dat is een mooie missie.

Er is geld nodig, veel geld om ervoor te zorgen dat kindjes zoals Axelle ook de kans krijgen om "onbezorgd" op te groeien. Je kan daar bij helpen door ons te sponsoren.

Het geld wordt gebruikt om nieuwe medicijnen te ontwikkelen zodat kinderen geen chemo behandelingen moeten volgen met medicijnen die zijn ontwikkeld meer dan 30 jaar geleden.
Het gaat naar onderzoek zodat ook zeer zeldzame kanker diagnoses zoals die van Axelle met zekerheid kunnen worden genezen.

FIGHT KIDS CANCER is a European call for projects that we launched together with Imaginefor Margo (France) and Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner (Luxembourg).

Our second FIGHT KIDS CANCER call for projects lead to the selection, by independent international experts, of 5 new innovative research projects of European scope for a total amount of 3,45 million euros of which KickCancer will finance 800 000 €. Through these projects, we hope to foster improvements in the knowledge and treatment of the following diseases: B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (clinical trial), ewing's sarcomas (clinical trial), medulloblastomas (translational project), neuroblastomas (2 translational projects).

There is ONE EXTRA project we would love to tell you more about… but we need to raise more funds than initially planned. Are you in to help us reach one million euros to fund this mystery project?
