Alexander riding to kick cancer / Recycle2 MIPIM 2022

Net zoals bij de start van het prachtige Corona-jaar 2020 ben ik ook dit jaar weer de uitdaging aangegaan om een fietstochtje te maken. De voorbije weken heb ik reeds de nodige winterse trainingen afgelegd om me optimaal voor te bereiden. Ik kan je verzekeren: een hele opgave in deze donkere maanden.

Deze uitdaging ben ik niet enkel aangegaan voor mijn eigen plezier maar ik wil samen met de andere deelnemers eveneens het prachtige initiatief van kick cancer ondersteunen.

Ik zal mijn kleine steentje bijdragen door van 10 tot en met 15 maart 2022 de mooie afstand van 1.100 km per fiets af te leggen. We rijden in zes dagen naar Zuid-Frankrijk en willen daarbij extra financiële steun voor deze schitterende organisatie ophalen.

Indien je mij nog een extra duwtje in de rug wil geven, om op die moeilijke momenten nog net even harder op mijn pedalen te trappen, zou ik je heel erg dankbaar zijn mocht je een donatie aan kick cancer overmaken.

Zo kunnen we kanker bij kinderen hopelijk snel tot het verleden laten horen.

Our vision is to cure all children and adolescents with cancer through the development of better targeted and less toxic therapies. As member of Fight Kids Cancer, the mission of KickCancer and Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner is be to catalyse and accelerate European research that results in innovative and impactful new therapies that improve the outcome for all children and adolescents with cancer.

Your gift will finance a research project selected in compliance with strict appraisal rules or our advocacy and awareness activities which aim at sustainably fixing the system, so that paediatric cancer no longer be left behind the innovation train.

Our research projects are innovative and European. They are selected in the framework of the FIGH KIDS CANCER European call for projects, about which you will find more information on kickcancer.org.

Our advocacy and awareness activities are equally important. They aim at ensuring that pharmaceutical companies be mandated or incentivised to finance more research against paediatric cancers, that governments finance more research infrastructure and that other NGOs involved in the field of cancer take their part in the fight against paediatric cancers.
