Cette année, je ne pourrais pas participer à Run to Kick (le 28/09/25 à Bruxelles : participez ou donnez !). Par contre, je compte courir le marathon de Lisbonne avec mon meilleur ami Maxime. Nous aurions dû courir le marathon de Paris 2023 ensemble, seulement la maladie d’Adélie en a décidé autrement.

Du coup, quand il m’a proposé de courir le marathon d’Adéli[sbonn]e, je ne pouvais qu’accepter. Nous serons donc sur la ligne de départ le 25 octobre prochain afin de rendre hommage à Adélie et récolter des dons pour l’association KickCancer, qui finance des recherches contre le cancer pédiatrique.

(Pour les Français, la déduction d’impôt de 66 % est aussi valable, même si c’est une association belge !)

Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back!

We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies.

Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.

Your gift helps fund either a research project selected by KickCancer, in line with strict evaluation criteria, or our advocacy and awareness activities. Every new research project, policy milestone or patient empowerment initiative contributes to what truly matters: better treatments, more innovation and real hope for children, adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer.

Through FIGHT KIDS CANCER, a European initiative dedicated to paediatric oncology, we support innovative research projects. In Belgium, we work closely with the Belgian Society for Paediatric Haematology Oncology (BSPHO) to support the participation of Belgian paediatric oncology centres in international academic clinical trials.

Our advocacy and awareness activities are just as important. They aim to ensure that pharmaceutical companies are required or incentivised to invest more in research in paediatric cancer, that governments invest more in research infrastructure, and that other NGOs active in the cancer field play their part in advancing research in paediatric cancer.
